As part of our efforts to support seniors and those in need, The Office on Aging facilitates support groups. Joining these groups is completely free. See below for information regarding the current support groups we are running. Caregiver Support Group

Are you a Caregiver?

Are you caring for a spouse, disabled child, elderly parent or neighbor? Are you a family caregiver or a caregiver with a Certified Family Home?


We offer a Monthly Caregiver support group to help caregivers in the Magic Valley.

We meet the First Monday of the month (excluding holidays) 1 PM - 2:30 PM at the Office on Aging.


The Caregiver Support Group provides ongoing opportunity for education on caregiving issues, resources, discussion and peer support. This group also provides education units for Certified Family Homes.

Grandparents As Parents (GAP)

GAP provides a support group for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.

Grandparents raise grandchildren for many reasons, to include death, incarceration, neglect, health problems, just to name a few. Join us for support, guidance and training. The Office on Aging provides speakers that help these families on matters ranging from legal guardianship to discipline that works in today’s world.


GAP meets the 2nd Monday of the month from 10 AM - 11:30 AM in the Office on Aging Conference Room.


Widowed Wellness

A widowed person can be any age or any gender.


The CSI Office on Aging is associated with the Widowed Wellness Programs of Idaho, Inc. (WWPI) program. WWPI provides an 8 week Group Discussion Series various times throughout the year. The group is facilitated by Shawna Wasko who was widowed and who has led the group for nearly 40 years. Recently widowed, widowed long ago, young, older, male or female, all are welcome.

The group meets on Wednesdays from 10 AM - 11:30 AM at the Office on Aging.
